Mexicanolides from the seeds of a Krishna mangrove, Xylocarpus moluccensis.
Two new mexicanolides, named xylomexicanolides A and B, were isolated from the seeds of an Indian mangrove, Xylocarpus moluccensis, together with four known limonoids, khayasin, angolensic acid methyl ester, khayasin T, and 2'S-methylbutanoylproceranolide. The structures of these limonoids were established on the basis of spectroscopic data. The (13)C-NMR data of khayasin were reported for the ...
متن کاملProtoxylogranatin B, a Key Biosynthetic Intermediate from Xylocarpus granatum: Suggesting an Oxidative Cleavage Biogenetic Pathway to Limonoid
Protoxylogranatin B, a new protolimonoid identified from the seeds of a Chinese mangrove, Xylocarpus granatum, was proposed as the key biosynthetic intermediate. Its structure was established on the basis of spectroscopic techniques, including 1 H– 1 H COSY, HSQC, HMBC and NOESY spectra. The finding of this compound suggested an oxidative cleavage biogenetic pathway from protolimonoid to limonoid.
متن کاملTwenty-Nine New Limonoids with Skeletal Diversity from the Mangrove Plant, Xylocarpus moluccensis
Twenty-nine new limonoids-named xylomolins A₁-A₇, B₁-B₂, C₁-C₂, D-F, G₁-G₅, H-I, J₁-J₂, K₁-K₂, L₁-L₂, and M-N, were isolated from the seeds of the mangrove plant, Xylocarpus moluccensis. Compounds 1-13 are mexicanolides with one double bond or two conjugated double bonds, while 14 belongs to a small group of mexicanolides with an oxygen bridge between C1 and C8. Compounds 15-19 are khayanolides...
متن کاملNovel and Neuroprotective Tetranortriterpenoids from Chinese Mangrove Xylocarpus granatum Koenig
Eight new tetranortriterpenoids (1-8) were isolated from the twigs and leaves of the Chinese mangrove plant Xylocarpus granatum, together with four related known ones (9-12). The structures of new compounds were elucidated by detailed spectroscopic analysis. The absolute configuration of 9-epixylogranatin A (1) was determined by time-dependent density functional theory-electronic circular dichr...
متن کاملKrishnolides A–D: New 2-Ketokhayanolides from the Krishna Mangrove, Xylocarpus moluccensis
Four new khayanolide-type limonoids with a 2-carbonyl group, named krishnolides A-D (1-4), were isolated from the seeds of an Indian mangrove, Xylocarpus moluccensis, collected in the mangrove swamp of Krishna estuary, Andhra Pradesh. The relative and absolute configurations of these compounds were established by HR-ESIMS, extensive NMR investigations, single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis ...
